Here at Thermal Tech & Temp, we are always innovating on how to provide our customers with the highest quality products and equipment. This is why we are saying goodbye to the grey tuffsleeves, and making way for the new and improved safety orange Tuffsleeves 2.0!
When we originally designed the grey tuffsleeves that are currently being supplied to our customers, our goal was to get away from the fiberglass material that was currently being used in so many other protective sleeves in the market. We also wanted to create a product that was much more lightweight and cost-effective for the end-user. However, in trying to create a sleeve that was so light-weight, it, unfortunately, had the unwanted side effect of not being as durable as the fiberglass sleeve. This is why we are launching a new protective sleeve made from our new and improved Tuffcoat 2.0 material that combines the best features of both of these sleeves.
This new Tuffsleeve 2.0 is made with a special blend of polymer that allows it to have a heavier duty exterior to protect against any potential damage. With this, we met our goal of designing a sleeve that was both really lightweight and dynamic. This upgraded sleeve is thick enough to hold up against any abrasion caused by heavy induction heating coils being dragged on metal or shop floors in the field. Additionally, it has a heavier coating both internally and externally that allows for more protection against sparks, weld splatter, and other potential industrial hazards.
